We held a raffle.
Also the form 5/6 made and sold valentine biscuits.

Netball and Football Competition

at Cliffe School, Wakefield

On Thursday 6th March 2008 the junior children from Wakefield Tutorial School visited Cliffe School in Wakefield for a friendly sporting fixture.

The girls mixed with 12 girls from Cliffe School to form 3 mixed teams. We then had a mini tournament with each team playing 3 games.

It was a very even competition and all the girls thoroughly enjoyed it. This is Charlotte McLaughlin taking a shot.

The junior boys had the opportunity to play a competitive match against Cliffe School on an all weather pitch.

The match was well fought with lots of goals!
Jaymz Baggott proved to be an excellent captain scoring 6 of them!

Matthew Cassar also did a fantastic job as goalie.

The whole team played well, showing excellent skills and sportsmanship. They were victorious 8 goals to 5.

The afternoon was very successful and we have arranged another date for rounders in the summer term.

Easter Activities

At the end of term the children took part in several Easter Activities including special assemblies retelling the Easter story.
KS1 children made Easter bonnets and egg cups.
Form 5/6 designed and made a car to transport an egg the furthest distance.
Everyone decorated an egg to show in the final assembly on Thursday 20th March 2008.

On Wednesday 19th March the school council organised a 'twin' day and toy sale. The children were invited to choose a partner and dress the same for a day. In the afternoon a giant toy stall was set up with some excellent bargains on offer.

£75 was raised for the British Heart Foundation.

Michael, Amy and Jaymz presented the money and the remainder of the toys to Mrs Glynnis Steedman the manager at the Morley shop.
